#1 New York Times bestseller..great Tom Clancy book about computer superpowers set in the year 2010 with Net Force Commander Alex Michaels in the hot seat.
I got into the book after seeing the movie with Scott Bakula. This one is even more interesting, and internet lovers will probably be interested in a world where computers have reached the next stage, and an internet police is needed.
This was very exciting. I enjoyed reading it. I thought it was interesting how the bad guys were trying to one up eachother. (Hope that didn't give too much away.)
In the year 2010 computers are the new superpower. Those who control them control the world. To enforce the net laws,Congress creates the ultimate computer security agency within the FBI. Another good Tom Clancy suspense.
Modern Day thriller with a tech edge.
It was a little tricky at first to keep track of all the characters, but once into it the story was suspenseful.

Action-packed story of governmental computer security people.
Another exciting Clancy story... of the Net Force series... quite good...
Sometimes frightening to think that some of Clancy's plots could very well happen...!! Or possibly have happened...!!??
I like getting to know the characters a bit more and that is exactly what happens in this second book of the series. Although Net Force has a serious emergency where someone gets into bank computers, highly secure government systems, I felt that this was really more an in-depth look at the main players. Pretty fast-paced but still enough detail that you get inside their heads (bad guys and good guys). I am enjoying the series so far. Funny little detail: the year in these first two books is 2010 and the computer gadgetry they have isn't quite on the horizon for us yet. :)
It's a good book and a fun story but I've decided to not collect the series.
This was a bit disappointing and my least favorite book in the Net Force series. The basic story line was engaging, but there were too many side trips into office romances. Also the character Platt was difficult for me to accept - a violent, hugely built and physical man but with almost unrivaled set of computer skills. There are better books in this series, in my opinion.
Its 2010 and the internet has become the worlds central nervious system. If terrorists are going to subvert the new world order, this is where they will strike. A neew organization is therefore needed to deter them - Net Force, a team of highly trained operatives whose homeground is the VR world of the net, with Net force Strike teams at the ready to take the battle into the real world with their own devasting Firepower.
Hidden agenda's is a story of their toughest challenge to date. Top sercet chemical weapons are missing, the world banking structure is under assualt, can net force piece the puzzle together in time....

I didn't read it - but my husband did and really liked it
