After the first Callie Parrish mystery, I had high hopes for this book that were only partially met. Although it was a light, fun read with plenty of interesting characters like the first book in the series, I found the mystery itself much too transparent. I figured out who did what and why fairly quickly, which spoiled alot of the fun. A good read for cozy mystery fans, but probably not a keeper.
enjoyable read

Mortuary cosmetologist Callie Parrish and her friend take off for a bluegrass festival on Surcie Island. After a fiddler turns up dead, Callie has no choice but to take center stage in the investigation. Original.
