My goodness! I had no idea about Maureen McCormick's life at all. She's had quite the wild ride with drugs, major family upheaval and illnesses, and betrayal, all while trying to juggle a career in the spotlight. I listened to this on audio and her voice is still sweet and angelic. Listening to her talk about the enormous disappointments in her own family regarding her brother and father were heart-wrenching and I just wanted to give her a hug. This book was far more interesting than the usual hollywood biography. She is kind and discreet when talking about co-stars and friends. She is honest and forgiving, but bares all about her own guilt, shame, and indiscretions. I found this to be a great read.
