This is about a boy who saw a girl but is to shy to talk to her. His friend then becomes the boys dog hoping to talk to the girl's dog. The boy's dog and the girl's dog become friends. The boy and the girl becomes friends and his friend goes to the machine so he can change back to a boy.

Jake Sherman's best friend Andy Kent desperately wants to meet Mica, the new girl in town. Mica has a dog, so Andy figures that if he gets a dog, he'll have an automatic conversation-starter. Andy decides to borrow Jake's dog, Lance. Simple, right? Wrong! Unfortunately, Lance isn't interested in being on the doggy-friendship committee. So Jake and Andy come up with an alternate plan. . .Jake will switch bodies with Lance. After all, he's switched bodies with a lot of people before. Why would switching with a dog be any different?
