Evan Smoak grew up as part of the Orphan Program. His mentor in the program was Jack Johns who became a father figure to him. When Evan decided to break from the Orphan Program, Jack helped him get out. Now the program is being run by Charles Van Sciver, AKA: Orphan Y. His mission is to eliminate any former orphans, including Evan. To do this, Van Sciver uses Jack to get Evan's attention. Jack has contacted Evan, telling him he is in trouble and that Evan should retrieve "the package". Evan doesn't know what is in this package, but he is willing to do anything for the man who raised him.

This is the third book in the Orphan X series. It is very hard to review without giving away spoilers. Evan teams up with a teen who has a very good reason to help Evan with his fight against Van Sciver. I loved the story. I loved the action. And I worried about how this one would end. This was my favorite in the series so far. My rating: 5 Stars.

Excellent series. Read them in order if you can.

Fantastic book! I love the character of Evan Smoak, a more sensitive version of Jack Reacher (of the Lee Child series). Evan is a lean, mean machine when he needs to be, but his soft side shines when a young girl comes into his life. Judging from the last page, we haven't seen the last of Evan, and I for one can't wait!

I don't give four star rating very often; if I enjoy a book it usually gets 3-1/2 stars (somewhere between âliked itâ and âreally liked itâ). But this deserved every one of these four stars.

As usual, An exciting, thrilling ride that kept me reading through the wee hours of night. The Nowhere Man is back with Evan Smoak planning revenge on his nemesis Van Sciver who killed his mentor Jack, the man who raised him and considered a father. Jack had sent him a package that turned out to be Joey, a 16 year old girl who partners with him in their quest for revenge. Joey has many tricks up her sleeve and they make a good team, much to Evan's dismay.

However when Joey is taken to Evan's home and after her amazement of his quarters, she leaves crumbs on the counter and fingerprints on the refrigerator, his thoughts are hilarious as he quickly cleans up after her. It was a laugh out loud moment.

I love this series and guess I have to wait a year for the next one. Write faster Gregg!
