I enjoyed Hellbent more than The Ninth House, as the latter had me very confused initially. That being said, it was helpful that I only recently finished the first book. Had more time gone by I would've forgotten everything from The Ninth House and been confused again. The ending implies a third book, and by the time it comes out I will have forgotten what happened in Hell Bent and will likely go back to being confused.
