This book is a followup to the book Between Heaven and Ground Zero. The 9-11 survivor Leslie Haskin paints a portrait of the daily struggles of those whose lives have been crushed by the weight of tragedy and who have been left wondering about the mercies of God. She comes to the conclusion God is bigger than all the devastating blows that come with living life. The author was one of only two African-Americans to hold an executive title within the Kemper Insurance Co corporation eastern region. 9-11 changed her priorities and now is the founder and executive director of Safe Hugs, a non profit organization for helping women and children that are homeless and victims of domestic violence.
