A very enjoyable book.

I am giving it a 4 star rating because I loved the beginning and the end. However, I felt the middle section was a little more complicated than it needed to be. It recovered nicely and I had laugh-out-loud moments in the final chapters when there was terrible confusion over who was in love with (or kissing or engaged to or trapped with or having an affair with) whom. Had the entire book been that entertaining, I would have been exhausted--but happy enough to give it a 5+.

The heroine was an extremely strong personality--sometimes to a fault. This was amusing throughout the book. The hero was both dazed by and attracted to her--although I appreciated his moral compass.

I've not ever read anything else by this author, but I definitely will.
