I checked this one out of the library without realizing that it was a young adult book that tells the story of Hecate as the leader of the harpies. In all of my studies of mythology, I've never once came across Hecate in this form. It seemed to be more of a short fiction story about her (as a Monster of Mythology) than any kind of actual research about Hecate's place in Greco-Roman mythology.
Not for anyone that is actually looking for mythological information regarding this goddess, nor for anyone that actually wants their child to understand the old myths.
