I enjoyed this all the more because it deals with the true experiences of Virram Seth, the writer of A Suitable Boy, which is one of my all-time favorites.
He was a postgraduate student in China when he decided in the summer of 1981 to hitchhike home to Delhi by way of Tibet. A great travel story depicting his battles with bureaucracy, difficult climate, interesting characters, and miserable rides on long-distance trucks.
