So now we have the "beginning, middle and ending!"
Overall, it was an entertaining read. Unfortunately, the ending still had a few questions strewn about here and there rather than complete closure. Additionally, it reminded me more of a rated PG, Disney movie instead of a thoughtful read. (...but then I'm an adult and not a teen that has yet to know anything about complicated literature or the real world!)
The book could also use better editors or a continuity expert to make sure everything flowed from the first book to the last. Nothing huge or major, just tiny things that make you scratch your head - but you still manage to move on.)
On the up side - Alexandra Adornetto managed to provide some good comic relief during some serious situations. One example is Rafael and another is the cameo appearance of a certain show. (Chap. "Take Me Home, Pg. 317 - this really had me laughing since I just finished Deadlocked minutes before picking up Heaven. No spoilers here!)
Regardless of Bethany's (and Xavier's) experiences it still felt like she was taking one step forward and then two steps back. Even Gabriel and Ivy seem more human now than at the very beginning (Halo), which is one of many factors that make me wonder if Adornetto now questions her faith. (Sorry don't mean to get so personal.)
My last thought for this particular book: Maybe Emily is right when she says "Everyone eventually forgets and moves one." (paraphrased) Nothing to remember here...so moving on.

I liked this final book in the halo series though I have a feeling that another book may be in the works due to how the book ended like a lost show with leaving some things unanswered. The story flowed well and while sometimes the constant always being hunted drama was getting worn out, it still worked for the book. Overall it was a good end to the series.
