Poor Barbara. She thought she wrote a book about men... without understanding a single thing about men. What she actually wrote was a selective historical summary of gender studies (i.e., feminist ideas made by and for women who have...issues). I cannot recommend this book to anyone.

Ehrenreich is also the author of the recent book, Nickled and Dimed, in which she takes jobs at WalMart and as a house cleaner to explore life at minimum wage. Hearts of Men is an interesting earlier work. Category: Women's Studies/Social History
