Author: Pam Rhodes
Written by the presenter of BBC TV's "Songs of Praise", this novel recounts the effect on a Suffolk village of the arrival of the "Songs of Praise" team to make a programme. Few are left unaffected by the making of the programme in this story.

I found this to be a warm, charming and involving book. It takes place in an East Anglian village, invaded by the BBC who will be filming a service in the local church. This proves to be the making of, as well as the breaking of, several village inhabitants. If you like tales of British village life, such as those written by Miss Read, I think you would find yourself right at home with this book. This is my first book by this author, but I will be seeking her other books as well, because I found this book to be an utter treat to read.
