I did not particularly enjoy this book. Diana Palmer is just TOO Diana Palmer this time around. This book was a cliche from the word go and I just can't get into books where the Hero treats the Heroine horribly throughout the whole book, then in the denoument blames the horrible treatment on his love for her.

Very good book....Lots of angst with the hero.....Not your typical romance book...another winner by Diana Palmer

A bit stilted, unlike the usual Palmer. Story revolves around the evolution of childhood crush. Tellie is a young girl adopted in to a ranch family at 12, who falls madly for the hotshot owner's son from Day 1. He is emotionally frozen, takes her caring for granted. Things happen.....

I've read all of her books and, frankly, I don't think this is one of her best efforts. She mentions a few of the "old" Jacobsville characters but the plot is waay too stilted.

Typical Palmer read. Enjoyable. JB is older, wealthy, rugged all man. Orphaned Tellie grows up on his ranch and although he is attracted to her, He does not want to take advantage of her youth. Tellie graduates from college and the games begin.

OK read, but the "hero" in this book was a little to "alpha" for my liking.

Same old same old DP. I'm finding it harder and harder to keep reading her books.

J.B. Hammock played by his own rules, and rule number one was never settle down. He treated his women well, but with a no-strings detachment they all accepted. But sweet Tellie Maddox hovered about like a gossamer butterfly, always trying to take care of him, always caring about him. It was enough to make a confirmed bachelor take drastic measures.

Then Tellie lost part of her memory. She believed she was J.B.'s faithful sidekick. Even he couldn't be so heartless as to push Tellie aside, and so he played the role of friend...until friendship turned to something else, something so much deeper than a heartbreaker like J.B. ever intended. He was hooked.

Then Tellie's memory returned....

A brand-new love story from Diana Palmer. JB Hammock is the heartbreaker and is loved by Tellie Maddox. However, JB is truly a jerk towards her and I found it difficult to see anything redeemable about him in spite of how much Tellie love him. He is not really convincing when he makes his turnaround after Tellie is injured and has a partial memory loss. This is one of the stories set in Jacobsville, TX and I liked it but would have liked to see more clearly something of what Tellie saw.

J.B. Hammock played by his own rules, and rule number one was never settle down.He treated his women well, but with no strings attached. Tellie Maddox hovered over him ,always trying to take care of him,and always caring about him.Tellie then lost part of her memory. She believed she was still J.B.'s sidekick. He couldn't push her away.He then had to realize just what he felt for her....
