I did not particularly enjoy this book. Diana Palmer is just TOO Diana Palmer this time around. This book was a cliche from the word go and I just can't get into books where the Hero treats the Heroine horribly throughout the whole book, then in the denoument blames the horrible treatment on his love for her.

A bit stilted, unlike the usual Palmer. Story revolves around the evolution of childhood crush. Tellie is a young girl adopted in to a ranch family at 12, who falls madly for the hotshot owner's son from Day 1. He is emotionally frozen, takes her caring for granted. Things happen.....

I've read all of her books and, frankly, I don't think this is one of her best efforts. She mentions a few of the "old" Jacobsville characters but the plot is waay too stilted.

This was a great book it only took me two and a half days to read it only because i have things to do other wise i probley wouldnt have put this book down!! Fantastic read!!!!

Typical Palmer read. Enjoyable. JB is older, wealthy, rugged all man. Orphaned Tellie grows up on his ranch and although he is attracted to her, He does not want to take advantage of her youth. Tellie graduates from college and the games begin.

A brand-new love story from Diana Palmer. JB Hammock is the heartbreaker and is loved by Tellie Maddox. However, JB is truly a jerk towards her and I found it difficult to see anything redeemable about him in spite of how much Tellie love him. He is not really convincing when he makes his turnaround after Tellie is injured and has a partial memory loss. This is one of the stories set in Jacobsville, TX and I liked it but would have liked to see more clearly something of what Tellie saw.
