In Ruth Wind's The Last Chance Ranch, a woman seeking to be reunited with the son she was forced to leave behind finds love where she least expected it -- in the arms of the man who'd been looking after him all these years.

In Rocky Mountain Rancher by Pamela Tot gives everything readers look for in a great romance --He had served years in prison for a murder he didn't commit. Now he's free and he has one last chance -- to work for the single mother who has taken possession of his ranch. But does she need him as much as he needs her?

Last Chance Ranch/light romance with a heroine who served time in prison for committing murder. While working at the ranch for in-trouble youths upon her release, she was able to rebuild her relationship with her son, while keeping her secret about her true identity. Tanya and Ramon, the cousin to her ex-husband whom she killed, reignite an attraction from before she was imprisoned. Realistic scenes of spousal abuse. The most touching aspects were her letters written to her son at the beginning of each chapter.

Rock Mountain Rancher/another light romance but this time the jailbird is Luther, a man falsely accused and convicted. After serving eight years, he was released when the real killer was revealed. I enjoyed reading about his unique situation, but especially his emotional turmoil of being imprisoned, and finally going back to the ranch he had once owned with his young family. Luther and Maddy's growing relationship was both tender and explosive with plenty of sexual heat to spice things up. Very enjoyable story. 3.5 stars
