A far cry from the Andy Carpenter series, which I like a lot.

I couldn't even finish this, it is so slow and boring, let alone characters you just can't like very much. The subject matter was just part of this storyline but it just drags along so I just quit.

I love this author, I have read everything in the Andy Carpenter series and absolutely love it. What kept me from give this book four stars was certainly not the writing, it's as sharp and witty as everything else he's written. I did not care for the subject matter, it's against my conscience and I had a lot of trouble getting past that. However, all that being said, the concept gave me something to think about and even though I don't agree with it, I understand the premise behind it. I think I finished it mainly to find out how he would wind this thing up and as usual he did it with a bang.
