This book is charming from the cover to the delightful interior design. The font looks like someone hand wrote all the recipes and there are many pretty color sketches throughout. Appropriate quotes are scattered among the pages to delight you. The sections cover: appetizers, soups, salads, vegetables, main dishes, desserts, and breakfast. The recipes are not complicated, do not use qourmet fancy ingredients, and are easy to follow. The interior of the cookbook is as tasty as the recipes! A real treat to read.

Susan Branch's books are more than cookbooks, they are a treat and a pleasure to look at and read, much like a good novel with the bonus of beautiful illustrations. This book as her others is hand lettered. She not only has delicious recipes but also notes about making life a little more special, poems and quotes are scattered thru out too. A cozy reading cookbook with a great variety of recipes.
