I stayed up all night to read this book. It was gripping and quiet and absorbing and loud. Fantastic characters, well drawn and human. The setting is so compelling I had to talk myself down from searching for such a trip. Great novel. Five stars.
Purely awful: amateurish, poor characterization and seemingly pointless.
I liked it. The story of the people in the three rafts doing the Grand Canyon. A novel, but based on the real runs done on the river. Keeps you moving.
