This is a beautifully written book. Tender, honest, powerful and practical. Miriam. Greenspan begins with her own story of loss and grief, which helps to ground the reader for the rest of the book. Each of the dark emotions is addressed, and Greenspan gives the reader some concrete exercises for dealing with them. But this is not a how to book. It is a mature and direct look at emotions we often dont want to look at, which points to the spiritual and emotional growth that these emotions can open us to. I have given it to many friends. And to my therapist! She likes it, too. I highly recommend it.
