Futuristic/ Paranormal/ Urban Fantasy by Jory Strong, and third in the Ghostland series. In this post-War world, there are were, human, and gifted, and no species trusts the others. And the Church wants to purge the Earth of anyone not human. Rebekka is a gifted human, able to heal humans and weres. Through forces unknown to her, Rebekka is led into Were territory to heal some were children. She meets Were-Jaguar Aryck, who is Enforcer for his Pack. Aryck's goal is to mate with another Were and protect his pack. That all changes when he scents Rebekka. But, as much as Rebekka wants a home and a family, and is attracted to Aryck, she can't deny her gift, or her calling. Love the book.

I thought this was a pretty good read. I liked it, thought the characters and story line were unique for this genre. The only problem I had with this book was that it just followed so many characters from the third person perspective to the point it almost became too much. Also the hero and heroine don't meet until chapter 10. Those of you who have followed this series since book one, "Ghostland", might be happy to know Tir and Arana, from "Spider-Touched" (book 2), make a few appearances in this. And though all of the characters perspectives got a bit clausterphobic for me I still enjoyed this book. :)
{ Keep in mind that I am still pretty new to the paranormal genre so a lot of themes are new to me. lol. So this might not really be unique to those of you who've been devouring the paranormal genre. }

So far, this is my favorite book out of the Ghostland series - loved the story and the characters.
