Robert Goolrick has proven himself again (as in A Reliable Wife) to be an excellent story teller. His books are very well written and the words just seem to flow so easily. I did have some unanswered questions about the main character Charlie and thought his back story would probably have been useful and also interesting to know. This is why I rated the book a 4 out of 5 stars. Definitely a book that is worth reading and would be great for book club discussions.
Questions linger about the main character throughout the book but unfortunately the ending was disappointing and the questions are never answered.
Fantastic story and author
Goolrick's writing style sucked me in immediately. His settings/places come alive like characters and his characters are still roaming around in my head. A very well-crafted story.
Awful story. Awful book. Waste of time to read this!
