Headhunters by Jo Nesbo is a surprising book. This book starts at a slow pace, and suddenly the action is non stop. And,once the action gets going, what a wild ride and amazing ride it is. As a crime writer, Nesbo ranks just a little below Mankell and Larsson.

I really like Jo Nesbo's Harry Hole series, but this stand alone thriller is weak.

This is the first Nesbo book I have read. I was disappointed in the story after the good press it received. I cannot recommend it.

Headhunters is the story of Roger Brown who works for the firm 'Alfa', a recruting firm that specializes in top CEO's in Oslo, Norway. He's the best headhunter in the field. He also specializes in art, stolen art. He interviews a client who is everything a special tech companie needs to head their corporation. This client also specials in art and between their shared interests, Roger Brown is getting more than he bargained for, in fact both do. A taught plot that goes beyond both of these men's ambition. Roger's whole life is about to change with dramatic choices he has to make that could make him wealty or die trying, maybe both. A thriller with a dramatic ending. You'll want to remember the ending as it relates to the first chapter the 'Candiate' it tells a lot as the ending does. It's a fantastic read by Jo Nesburr (last name as it's pronounced in Norwegian with the O-slant)Gery
