Hawaiian quilts dating back to 19th century missionaries are more than objects of necessity, the reflect the spirit of the people and their culture. 20 Hawaiian quilt blocks - the designs are cut in one piece and appliqued to contrasting color background fabric. 18 inch squares named after the exotic island vegetation that inspired them. Bright colors but you can select your own colors. Has background information about the origins and compositions. Full size patterns lots of illustrations and step by step instructions to make it easy for even beginner quilters.
I very beautiful and unusual quilting book. A treasure for the library of those who love quilting. Very pretty!
