Fast moving, excellent mystery. You kinda figure it out, but still a fun read.

Is it a ghost, or did her fiance not die in South America as she'd been led to believe? Rachael had only been nineteen when Tom vanished on that flight. Now, ten years later and back in town because her parents had been killed in a plane crash, she sees someone who looks enough like Tom to be his twin. The mysterious stranger is Adam Delefield, a friend of her father's, or so he says. He also says he owed her father money he wants to repay. Her life is in a turmoil. Someone is trying to kill her, her emotions are out of control. Businessmen aren't supposed to have guns. People are lying to her. Who can she trust? Adam, can she trust him?
Wow! What a book. I was enthralled with this romantic thriller. This book had me on the edge of my seat and kept me guessing.

Ten years ago, Rachel's fiance, Thomas, disappeared. Now there is a stranger in town who culd be Thomas's twin or his ghost. And he's watching Rachel.
This is a great book w/just a smidge of supernatural thrown in. I really enjoyed it.

This was okay I guess, but not great. It came off kinda flat, mostly because the main characters were so underdeveloped that they were pretty hard to care about. The secondary characters came off as much more interesting people. I was also expecting a stronger paranormal presence! From the description there are lots of strong plot elements in here, but somehow the author never really stood up and used them. I'd heard some good things about this author so I wanted to give this a try, but oh well. Maybe I'm just not a Kay Hooper fan.

I started reading Hooper's paranormal thrillers and so I thought this would be similar--it's not. The story isn't bad and definitely there suspenseful moments but I think the author grew as she started writing Bishop stories. This book just seemed like a romance novel with a tiny bit of ghostly presence.

This is my first Kay Hooper book and I thoughly enjoyed it. I now added most of her books to my WL and RL's and I have a new author to read. This book really holds your interest and is hard to put down. I loved it.

He's been watching Rachel for days. He has the locket she gave Thomas before he vanished. And he says he owed her father three million dollars.

But there's no record of the loan-or a shred of proof that Adam is who he claims to be. And he's always nearby as accidents begin to threaten Rachel's life. Is he an innocent man who only wants to repay a debt? Or a figure from the past with a score to settle? Rachel must expose lies and unravel stories, find out who wants her dead and why...before the next attempt to kill her succeeds.
