Based on the title I thought this would have patterns to make hats, but it actually includes only one to sew and one to knit. The rest of the book is only how to decorate already made prefabricated hats.

Great illustrated directions abound in this book. All sorts of hats are included, and the directions make them sound easy to make. Even if you don't want to make a hat, the section on embellishments alone is worth getting the book; learn to make a ribbon cockade or floral decorations for a hatband.
