Dr. Katie LeClair has a new patient at the small Michigan clinic where she practices medicine. Eugene Lowe is fresh out of prison. Ten years ago, he was convicted of murdering Heather Stone. Eugene claims that he is innocent, but people are not happy that he is back in town. Bruises and contusions show that he has recently taken a beating. Since Katie is new to town, she doesn't know the story and starts asking questions about the murder. She is side-tracked when she learns that College Student Taylor Know has disappeared. Katie spoke with Taylor two days ago. Taylor was doing a school project about Heather's murder and Eugene's subsequent conviction. Taylor had questioned many people who were involved in the original investigation. Did she uncover something that led to her disappearance?

Katie is determined to help the police solve the mystery of Taylor's disappearance, and determine whether Eugene really killed Heather Stone. She is helped by her boyfriend, Dr. Matt Gregor, and her brother, Caleb, who is a computer hacker. I liked the mystery, though my mind seemed to wander sometimes while I was listening to it. The narrator, Amanda Dolan, did a fantastic job with the audiobook. My rating: 3.5 Stars.
