McKenzie is a former cop, now an unlicensed P.I. in the Twin Cities. Sounds like a hundred other mysteries -- but it's not. Mac is real people with real strengths and real weaknesses. And this is one heck of a great story.

I'd never even heard of this author before and ordered this book on a whim. I ended up loving it and getting immediately absorbed in the story. It was one of those plots that takes you one direction, then another, then another, then boom! - there is an ending you still didn't see coming! I really enjoyed it and give it 4 stars. I've already ordered the second book in the series.
