Good book. First I've read by this author. I liked her writing style - not overly descriptive on inconsequential things. It's a pretty fast read and interesting. Kind of makes you wonder if journalists really get into that much trouble - easy to believe!

I love this authors historical books, but I did not like the plot to this with murder. Still a great author.
great book
Second book in Clare's I-team series. Excellent!
All I can say is WOW! great book. Tessa witnesses a young girl's murder & is then swept up in the chaos. Julian is an undercover FBI agent who she sees, mistakes for the murderer & then the one who ultimately saves her life. This book has it all, romance, suspense & action. Some of the characters are from her earlier books and they are all great. Looking forward to the next.
Excelent read! Pamela Clare's characters in contemporary settings are as good as her historical characters.
Great romantic suspence! Fully developed characters, that you can't help but fall in love with.
loved this book. all the books in this series are good reads. this one is my favorit i couldn't put it down.
Loved it! I liked this bood because it was a little tough, edgy and sexy!
Loved this book even more than the first one in the series. Every page keeps your interest peaked and the characters are so compatible. I can't get enough of this series! Love it.
I appreciated the human trafficking storyline. I liked the romance between Julian and Tessa. It was difficult to put down once I started. Good suspense.
What I didn't:
While I appreciate Tessa's dedication to her job and getting the story, I thought she did some not-so-smart things. This lead to her needing to be rescued by Julian. *eye roll*
It was unrealistic to have sexy times after a certain someone was shot in the back 5 times. (Look no pain! The magic sex makes it all go away!) It mentioned 5 bruises the size of a palm on this person's back. Ouch!
My last bitch is Tessa quitting her job at the I-Team. She enjoyed her job and was good at. I understand why she ultimately quit (conflict of interest). However, this is becoming a theme in this series so far, since Kara quit hers too in book 1. It's far too common that women (in general in real life) often give up and/or turn down career opportunities for the men in their lives. I don't particularly like to read about it in my fiction too.

Tessa Novak is a reporter, part of the I-team. She witnesses the murder of a young girl and gets sucked into a whirlwind as she investigates the murder and crosses paths with mysterious Julian Darcangelo. Each of them has had troublesome childhoods which have molded them into the tenacious and wary adults they have become but gradually they begin to act on the attraction that they feel for one another. The problem is that neither may live long enough to admit the feelings for the other. Another enjoyable addition to the series.
