As a school counselor, I have used this book with kindergarten age students to 5th graders. It is very effective in instilling the message that hands are useful for many wonderful and creative actions, but HANDS ARE NOT FOR HITTING!

This books tells children what hands are for (playing, helping, etc.). My daughter liked the colors and pictures but seemed to care less about the message. She just had to grow out of the "hitting" stage (finally)!

Excellent book to be read to young children! I've used this for kindergarten and first grade kids as well, but this should be a staple for kids from toddlers on up!
