Excellent book. I loved every minute of it. I real page turner. Gave me the incentive to read every available novel from this author.

You actually find yourself not wanting this book to end. It is wise and wonderfully erotic! Even tho' I'm not black....I found myself in this book...all women are pretty much the same!

In her "most richly imagined novel to date" ("Emerge"), Tina McElroy Ansa takes readers to the small town of Mulberry, Georgia, a vibrant community filled with eccentric and terminally nosy folks. Here Lena McPherson has become, since the death of her parents, the one on whom everyone depends. But Lena has begun to weary of shouldering everyone else's burdens, and soon starts looking for her own problem-solver. She falls in love with a ghost.

Both comic and endearing. In this world the sardonic and the sassy live side by side.

I found this book to be very touching, tender, sad, and left wanting the story to go on and on. I found myself so involved with the main character of the story that I felt I had lost a friend at the end of the story altho her story continues somewhere.
