HALLOWED GROUND by Lori G. Armstrong: Newby P.I. Julie Collins is up to her headband in bodies and suspicious characters as she undertakes a case involving a missing five year old Native American girl, an innocent pawn in her parents child custody dispute. The parents are also on opposite sides of another dispute between rival Indian casinos, one of which seems to be more Italian-Indian rather than Indian because of some east coast participants. Everyone has an agenda relating to the new casino, including a Lakota Holy group who do not want the casino on tribal hallowed ground. It used to be cowboys and Indians, today its Indians and everybody and no one is safe, even on hallowed ground. Collins is not a Baby Shark, but shes no shrinking violet either. All in all, a pretty good, no make that a darn good read.
