Helpful Score: 1
Robert Ludlum's first Covert One novel. This is the beginning of a series that I have read all of. Intigue, politics and adventure in the current day.
Helpful Score: 1
I'm a die hard Ludlum fan. Loved, "The Ambler Warning" and the "Lazarus Vendetta". But, I couldn't finish this one. A bit too slow.
What can I say-it\'s Ludlum. Even though he is co-writing and seemingly \'grinding\' them out, it\'s still Ludlum-hands down the best mystery writer of our time
Doomsday virus kills 4 people, then it becomes known that the virus is in the hands of someone who may use it to start a pandemic.
The subject is very topical -- germ warfare. In this case, not from a foreign enemy but from an American pharmaceutical company that is using the threat of a panedmic to blackmail the leading nations of the world. A gripping story.
Part of the Covert One series of international thrillers. Doomsday virus spreads across the country. Search for the cause uncovers a high level plot and global intrigue. Typical Ludlum intensity and attention to detail.
First in a series, althought not necessary to read them in order of publication. International espionage/counterterrorism with a technological slant.
Great book, have yet to find a bad book written by Robert Ludlum. Always full of acton.
excellent
Gayle excels in the original Ludlum tradition....
A homeless man in Boston- an Army Major in California- a teenage girl in Atlanta- all dying suddenly and painfully., each a victim of an unknown doomsday virus....
An unknown doomsday virus quickly claims the lives of four epeople acorss the country--including Dr. Sophia Russell, a researcher leading the team trying to crack the disease. Her fiance, Lt. Col. Johathan Smith assembles a private team to aid his fight against the deadly virus.

Ludlum is a great writer. I enjoy the intrigue and suspense of his books.
First book in the "Covert One" series. Reads like a Robin cook novel.
