Below is a preview of the earlier sections of the summary: Introduction Secretary of State Hillary Clinton gathered together her top aides in a conference room to view images from a security camera showing an attack on the American consulate in Peshawar. She did this because she wanted them to see what it was like. She wanted to make it a priority to keep American posts protected because she believes diplomats are not able to do their jobs properly if they are under constant fear of attack. She wanted to make sure funding for this protection was guaranteed. The way she worked on this, keeping it a high priority, showed her strength and ability. She believes in taking calculated and protected risks. She has a clear understanding of the levels of power in the American government and on the international scene. She has set the stage for herself to run again for the Presidency in 2016. Although she has not yet announced her candidacy for the office of President, the groundwork has been laid. Loyalty is another characteristic that Hillary possesses. This quality can both help and/or hurt her candidacy. She must not let loyalty keep her from hiring competent staff. It remains to be seen whether she will make a second try at running for the Presidency, but the stage has been set. PART I 1: Hillary?s Hit List During Hillary?s campaign for the presidency in 2008, Kris Balderston and Adrienne Elrod, two members of her staff, kept a political hit list of all those who stood by Hillary?s side and supported her and all those who endorsed Obama instead or who refrained from throwing support in either direction. They kept a very detailed spreadsheet of who had done what in the form of support or of non-support of Hillary. It was a way of keeping track of who to thank and reward or who to punish when the campaign was over. They kept a tally of every favor given and every slight. A numbering system was even developed from one to seven. Those committing the worst offenses were assigned the number 7. Some of the people receiving the number 7 included John Kerry, Bob Casey, Jay Rockefeller, Patrick Leahy, Rob Andrews, Baron Hill, and Chris Van Hollen. Claire McCaskill was another person who betrayed the Clintons. She made an unfavorable comment about Bill Clinton on a ?Meet the Press? debate. She later apologized for the comment. Still, Hillary pursued her trying to get her endorsement. However, McCaskill, along with Governors Kathleen Sebelius and Janet Napolitano, gave their support to Obama...« less
