To be honest I was not expecting much from this book. I made my reading selection by closing my eyes and pulling it off of my shelf. I was even going to cheat and put it back but I forced myself to stick with it. What a surprise.

The author described the emotions one feels when someone is in a nursing home, or someone has put someone in a nursing home, or how a nurse in a nursing home becomes. Very poignant.

I really liked this book. The characters are very real. A blurb from the novelist Joanna Trollope cals the book "poignant, funny, and full of clever insights." I agree!

Read this because it's one of books in THE READING GROUP BOOK. Delightful story of a young woman's love and care for her grandmother. Funny in odd ways. Amelia deals with difficulties and sadness, but story ends on hopeful note.
