I've read all of Mary Roach's books and I liked this one as much as, if not more than, "Stiff." An interesting exploration of everything relating to the gastrointestinal system without being patronizing or boring.

What a wonderful, fascinating, funny book this is. I loved it! She writes about the human body from the lips to the farthest end of the digestive track with great humor and with enormous amounts of research, too. It's an excellent read - I could hardly put it down.

Roach once again turns her wry sensibilities to the human body, this time to the alimentary canal, clarifying everything from why we drool to what may have killed Elvis. Her mix of careful research and utter irreverence once again serve the topic well.
