Very true account of what marriage entails however, it felt really negative. I kept imagining to myself that had I read this prior to getting married; it probably would have scared me right away from it. Holy cow- THAT's what I'm signing-up for?! No thanks.

That said, IMO the most interesting portions of the book dealt with the realities of divorce, remarriage, and the impact children have in that scenario. Overall, the book makes a good case for just sticking-it out during hard times (because likely you'll just have the same problems in the next relationship and end-up divorced again...) however, I would have liked to see some useful strategies for success/problem-solving. The message I took-away from this book is that "hey, marriage is hard and it really sucks quite a bit of the time; grow-up and deal with it."
