This is an excellent beginning book for urban and suburban gardeners. The pictures are inspiring. There is enough information to get you started but not so much that it's overwhelming. There's an extensive resource list in the back.

You could go from no garden to the table with this book. Some of the information is sketchy but there is enough there to get you started.
