It took me a minute to actually get around to reading this book after purchase - fairy tales, a modern-day witch, a child hero? Didn't sound very promising or scary. Boy was I wrong! Once again R. Patrick Gates delivers! Great characters, engrossing storyline, and scenes that come alive upon reading! I ordered the sequel, Grimm Reapings, half way through the reading of this book!

Disturbingly creepy & graphic. Not for the squeamish or easily grossed out!

I guess I am getting to be a spoiled brat when it comes to my horror. Years ago, I would have found this book pretty entertaining, now it pales in comparison to some of the other goodies I have read. Not bad for some but I like my horror a little more hardcore.
