I loved the first trilogy of Fifty Shades. This was just icing on the cake. All my questions were answered about what Christian was thinking and what his motivations were. I never dreamed I would enjoy a book like this but it is wonderful escape. Very tantalizing.

I liked this version better. It helped me understand him better. It she'd some light on a few things I didn't understand. It explained why he did a lot of certain things in fifty shades..I do like reading from both his and her perspective though. I can't wait to read the next one.

After finishing the third book in the Trilogy I asked for it and EL James wrote it. I wanted a book about Christians life Pre Ana or maybe a book from his point of view. I would be interested in side books written by Christians staff or ex-submissives, it would be nice to hear their thoughts.

But I am slightly disappointed in the book. I found Christian very dull. In the Fifty Shades of Grey, he is presented to you as this amazing business man, so powerful. In Grey he comes across as a teenager that just hit puberty. I read the book because I was very interested in the his back story, you will not find too much of it in here. This book sticks to the Fifty Shades of Grey timeline. I did have a copy of Fifty Shades of Grey and checked a few of the storylines to see how they matched up.

When I read the Trilogy there was no movie or talk of movie, so I was able to use my own mental images. While reading Grey, I could not get the movie character images out of my head. I have not seen the movie but from seeing previews and interviews, not sure it was cast well.

I would say youre not missing much if you skip this book.

I must say I am left wanting more. I want to know his side through the all 3 books. I am very disappointed that the author hasn't done that. I do like hearing the story from his side, it helps explain some of his issues.

I actually like this better than the original. I love getting the story from his side! This book answered a lot of questions I had. Can't wait for the next story to be retold from this angle!

I did not like it as much as fifty shades of Grey. It was almost like a rereading Fifty shades and I am not a big fan of rereading. Though I did like reading Christian's view on things.

Wow, just.... wow. E.L. James did it again. I have to say..... I liked this book, by far, more than "Fifty Shades of Grey." I enjoyed reading how things played out through Grey's eyes. For a man of little words, his mind was truly a joy to dissect. The Psychological turmoil, E.L. James was able to infuse was a mind field maze.
My favorite parts of the stories were when the reader was able to dive into his past and relive his pain through his dreams. The incite Grey imparted through his painful first memories were what captured my heart. I was truly able to grasp how traumatizing his initial first few years of life were through his night-terrors. The complexity of his mind and the way he processed life's challenges was a literary masterpiece.
I can't wait to read the next installment of Grey and hope E.L. James never stops the series.

Well, I suppose now that Donald Trump is president, we have to pay attention to the male side of all situations.
