This is a wonderful book to use to learn about Rome whether you teach your children at home or if they are in public school. It is for use in elementary grades and includes geography, and map making. Vocabulary, people and places and supplemental reading lists as well as discussion topics. Romulus, Numa Pompulius, the Horatii and the Curaiatii, the Tarquins, Junius Brutus, Horatius, Mucius the Left-handed, Coriolanus, the Fabii, Cincinnatus, Camillus, Manlius Torquatus, Appius Claudius Caecus, Regulus, Scipio Affricanus, Cato the Censor, the Gracchi, Marius, Sulla, Pompey the Great, Julius Caesar, Cicero, Augustus, Nero, Titus, Trajan, Marcus Aurelius, Diocletian, and Constantine the Great. The end of the empire and a time line close the end of the book. Many activities are included under the heading of the famous Romans. The Bible is used as a comparison to texts and information. Considering that the Bible is more historically accurate than many Roman text as well as other old works it is a great source of history.
