Anne Rule is the best of true crime writers. This book is long but interesting. Lots of info regarding how murderers are hunted down with
clues they left behind unknowingly.

This has been made into a TV movie now is your chance to read the book and compare it to the movie.

This was a very hard book for me to read. My niece was one of the victims. The book gave a lot of information on the victims, ridgeway, and the investigation. Unfortunately, as far as I know, she never spoke to anyone in our family. If she had she would have had a better understanding of what drove Colleen to be the way she was.

Anyone interested in serial killers, or true crime, should find this a very good read.

This is a very long, involved account on a very long, involved investigation. Ann Rule covers this horrific crime in a way that acknowledges the victims in a special way and offers insight into the mind of a killer. Brings you right into the neighborhood where it all happened. One of my favorite Ann Rule books - although they are all worth reading.

not one of her better books. would have benefited by ruthless editing. was probably 2 to 3 times longer than it needed to be, packed as it was with endless detail that did little to enhance the story. it would also have been helpful to learn more about gary ridgway himself and less about the endless investigation.

Wow this is just crazy how someone can appear so normal yet be so demented. I think this is a good read although it kept me up many nights just trying to figure out how someone could be so messed up. I like that Ann gives them all a name, story and gives credit to all the task force.

It was not one of her best but if someone is interested specifically in the Green River Killer then it is worth the read. Rather complicated with lots of names and dates but she does give the whole story.

Even though I followed this story on the television, etc. Ann Rule more than does justice to the background of the victims and the story itself. I think it's a masterpiece.

Very detailed account of the search for a serial murderer.

I love Ann Rule, but I could not get into this book. I gave up. It was too slow moving and bogged down with too much detail, in my opinion. Not one of her best.

Very well done. Professional. Enough detail, without gratuitous violence. The plot is clear.
