Loved this story! Judith Gould always writes a nice story in a beautful setting... this time in Greece! Current day time frame... a bit of mystery too!
Great movie with romance, mystery and murder
Good. But VERY sexual.
Aspiring author Tracey Sullivan never knew her mother, yet she recognizes the phantom beauty in the fading family photograph. It is legendary movie start Urania Vickers, now secluded in luxury in a magnificent Greek villa with her handsome young agent, Mark Varney. When a twist of fate brings Tracey to Urania's side to ghostwrite the diva's long-awaited book, she finds herself not only drawn to the picture-perfect vistas, but to Mark as well.
This is a great lazy day summer or beach read. It is a large print book which reads very fast. Up and coming novelist, Tracey Sullivan, is trying to get over two very big betrayals in her life. Her father's suicide and her boyfriend's betrayal. In her father's papers she discovers her mother, who abandoned her at birth is Famous Actress Urania Vickers, now living in Greece and looking for a Ghost Writer for her new book. Tracy goes to Greece to see this woman for herself and has a wonderful adventure and beautiful romance with her agent who is also Ms. Vickers Agent.
New York Times bestselling author.
A novel of passion and intrigue as a woman's love is threatened by family secrets.
A novel of passion and intrigue as a woman's love is threatened by family secrets.
Because this novel is partly set in Greece, I thought I'd give it a chance. After plowing through the first 180+ pages and being dreadfully bored, I started skimmimng through to the end. The plot is laughingly predictable (I figured out the true identity of Tracey's mother quite early); the lovescenes are lukewarm (although trying to be sizzling....but they are only fizzling!), and the characters are not well developed.
Judith Gould has written many interesting novels----however, this is not one of them!
