John Mole writes of a family's adventure to Evia in Greece. The family ioriginate from England; they learn about the Greek culture & the lifestyle on the island, as well as oddities of the Greek people. Tales of misadventure during the restoration of a ramshackle ruin into a livable home will delight the reader. Writing has much humor, as well as the family adapting to the Greek culture. Hector, their dog; the drinking of 'ouzo,' the roasting of a lamb in celebration of the families completion of their home, are just a few of the tales to be told. The cast of Greek characters enrich the story. A great read...

British author and young family buy a ruined old Greek farm house and do it up.Interesting tales about life in rural Greece, far from the party island life.
