Cute little bit of fluff. It has all the marks of an Evanovich romance: Cars destoyed and or stolen? Check. Little old ladies? Check. Floppy dog that eats anything? Check. Plucky heroine? Check. Too good to be true sexy man meat? Check.
Sadly the plot on this was rather thin. Berry is our girl in this one and she is so sweet she sends girlscouts into diabetic shock. She is divorced from an icey cold husband who cheated on her but doesn't hate him. She went back to school after the divorce to get her degree and she works full time at the Pizza Shop that she owns. She has to deliver the pizza's herself and it's while out doing the deliveries that she meets (in true screwball comedy styling) Jake Sawyer.
To say anymore would probably give away ALL the plot so we will leave it at that. This is worth reading if you are already an Evanovich fan but definetly do not start reading her writing with this book. The plot is thin - the romance is light and it's Evanovich's humor that carries this book all the way.

Another of Janet Evanovich early romance novels. She has a great flow to her writing that won't let you put down the book. She made the main character Berry a pizza making maniac, who finds love in the oddest place. You can see the desperation on Jake's face as he tries to win her love. Janet's way of bringing the characters alive are even more present in the old ladies who are 'helping' Berry. Another great read!

I believe this is a re-release of an old short romance story the author (Janet Evanovich) had written before she was famous and now is trying to cash in on her name. I felt that this book was the most boring drivel that Evanovich has ever written. I'm surprised she even let this book be released again - it's that bad. I am about half way through, trying to force myself into getting interested, but am finding it difficult. I would not waste my money on this book. The characters are not even remotely interesting, nor is there much of a plot. Stick with her Stephanie Plum series and get this book from the library, or skip it altogether because you won't be missing much. This book is a total waste of time

This was pretty bad. The character is definitely a proto-Stephanie, with destroyed cars, destructive dogs and pushy old ladies. The plot, however, was MIA. I get that it's a throwaway little romance, but couldn't something, you know, happen? It's like wham! the two main characters are in love after 15 minutes and determined to marry -- oops! maybe not because he is correcting papers (unforgivable in a first grade teacher) but oops! maybe it's back on again. Really silly.

Janet edited and re-released this "red-hot screwball comedy". Quick, fun, and loveable characters you'd like to actually meet if you don't know someone like them already.

This was another quirky book by Janet Evanovich. It is a quick funny read about a lady named Berry who meets a fellow by climbing his tree, then falling out of it, and it goes from there. She also adopts three old ladies who are homeless to help her with her pizza place. Romance of course follows for everyone.

This book was originally published in 1988 and just republished in March of 2009. It's a cute romance and fun, quick read.
This is a simple, fun, and light summer read. If you're looking for spectacular writing and an incredible plot, this really isn't the book for you. But, if you're looking for a few chuckles and a fun read to pass the time, pick it up!
ANother light read but very cute
Humor and wit, just like the Janet Evanovich style. Very enjoyable.
FAST READ. THE OLD LADIES ARE THE BEST PART!
This book was unrealistic and a little silly. Everything moved so quickly, and after I wanted almost the whole book for the hero and heroine to become intimate...they skip over the whole thing and take you straight to the morning after! I don't know if it's just me, but I like my h/h to bome intimate...and there are none of those scenes in this book whatsoever.
The Grand Finale is the story of a young woman who falls out of a tree, onto a pizza, and into love. Okay, so maybe the road to true love isn't all that easy. Truth is, she ruins the pizza, loses three cars, adopts three little old ladies, is held at gunpoint, and is caught ogling a very hot, very gorgeous, almost naked guy. Happily, she eventually gets to see the hot guy entirely naked, and they make some really great pizza together.
another great book by Janet Evanovich, I read it in one day because I just couldn't put it down.

Evanovich can do no wrong... all of here books are page turners
Evanovich always delivers, this time with an early screwball romance featuring a lady pizza magnate, three little old ladies, a hunky non-mad inventor, and a pup with a voracious appetite.
True Evanovich style! This one had a lot of Stephanie Plum-isms--made it a really quick and easy read. It's the best non-Plum book from her that I've read in a while!
Funny, romantic story.
It's fluff. The latest release in the JE screwball comedies is readable, entertaining and NOT mentally challenging. Which was just what I was in the mood for when I read it so it worked for me. All the usual elements appear - wacky old ladies [but not Elsie, sad to say], dogs, hunky heroes with a sense of humor and heroines with a PLAN...
