Another series of murders, some of them the 'locked room" type, baffle Roger and Benjamin through the book, until Benjamin figures them out in a surprise ending. But in the end, both Roger and Benjamin conceal secrets from their "employers."
I really enjoy how Roger keeps bashing King Henry VIII, who was a real jerk. And those who oppose the death penalty today, would freak out at the punishment given criminals in this period of history.

The reason for Buckingham's demise soon becomes apparent--he had been searching for the Holy Grail and Excalibur. Now Daubney and Shallot are ordered to find the relics for the king or suffer the Duke's fate.
