The Goon is a good graphic novel with quirky art and a great, screwed-up, rollicking story. If you just want to sit down and have a quick read with ultra-violence and quirky humor, give this one a go. The best way I could describe it is Dashiell Hammett meets H.P. Lovecraft. It's fun. You want walk away feeling smarter, but the Goon and his sidekick's battles with zombies and wizards will keep you entertained.
