This is the first time I've read any books from Ms. Collins and I am not into historical romance since that was never my favorite type of stories but I got to say this was nothing that I expected. I got throught reading a series that are from the same time period and their writings are what I expected from 19th century England but this story I actually understood everything so I was not confused as their 'slang' or ole English. The was hard to put down with the investigation of a murder of Leonora's brother that was killed in a 'drivers' club, they supposedly like to race carriages with teams of 2-4 horses, but its all a group of men that like to do the dirty work for their 'leader' but its a club of murderers and a group of men that are to afraid of the leader to speak up. Nora wants to find out what happened her her twin brother Jon and will seek out the man she long loved but pushed away years before, but he also happened to be good friends with her old betrothed Fredrick Lisle. Nora and Freddy are in a need to clear her bother's name and bring the man or men to justice that murdered her brother and also trying to do her in for her investigation on the Lords of Anarchy Club before its to late to save her self and help her and her father bring them down.
