Julie goes missing when she is 13 years old. Her sister Jane watches a man take her away in the middle of the night. Jane stays hiding for 3 hours, then tells her parents.
It is 8 years later and Anna & Tom get a knock on the door, and there is Julie. Or is it?
This was a pretty OK novel. I just did not feel the closeness to the characters that I probably should have to have really cared about the reality of this being Julie or not.

Disappointing. I didn't find this story to be suspenseful at all. It was more like a dysfunctional family drama, with some creepy nefarious characters thrown in. Maybe I have Gone Girl readalike burnout.
What a tangled mess! This book had so much potential, it started out great but got lost on the way. What a dud! Confusing, name changing, who was who, yes it was the missing girl, no it wasn't.....religion, back and forth in time... I was bored; I was skimming; ugh!
