Michael Robotham's books are consistently excellent. This book, which is presumably the start of a new series, did not have the emotional resonance of some of the others, but it is still good. I am currently reading the sequel, and connecting with the characters a bit more because of that. The first book leaves a lot of unanswered questions about Evie's backstory.
