Well written and interesting detail of life in China. But way too depressing for me.
I truly enjoyed the Good Earth, It was written in the 1930's about a very different China, that is today, yet gives some insight into the people and culture that is China.
Very well written, and a story of familial love and ambition and hard work, that paid off, but to what price?
